Brinklow Match Reports (Seniors & Juniors)

Coventry Alliance Football League

Premier Division

Jaguar - Daimler 1 – Brinklow 4

Brinklow maintained their league title campaign in a game that went with form. Jayden Rickhuss gave early notice of his intentions after two minutes when his close range effort hit the post. Rickhuss was on hand to put Brinklow into a 13th minute lead after latching onto a defence splitting through ball from Liam Cawley and steering it past the keeper. It took Brinklow until the 62nd minute to increase their lead. The ever – lively Carl Lawes was brought down in the box and Danny Nelson despatched the spot – kick. The home side reduced the deficit seven minutes later with an unstoppable strike from 30 yards. Rickhuss made it 3-1 on 73 minutes after some good approach play from Carl Lawes and Reece Blackmore set him up to fire home from the edge of the area. Lawes deservedly found the net for Brinklow’s fourth four minutes from time after meeting a Liam Cawley cross and beating the keeper from close range.
