Please note that there has been a change to the 2014 Brinklow 6 a Side Under 9 Competition. This will no longer be a ‘friendly’ format as originally advertised and will now be competitive.

Brinklow Football Club are pleased to announce we will be staging our 17th annual football tournament. The tournament will take place from Friday 30th May to Sunday 1st June with different age groups playing on the following days:-

• Friday (Early evening K.O.) - U15’s & U16’s
• Saturday (am K.O.) - U7’s & U12’s
• Saturday (pm K.O.) - U8’s, U11’s
• Sunday (am K.O.) - U9’s & U13’s
• Sunday (pm K.O.) - U10’s, U14’s

The tournament is open to any County FA Registered teams subject to there being sufficient interest in each age group to make it a viable option. Teams are invited to apply early as it may be necessary to limit numbers on a first come first entered basis. Team registration fees are £25 per team entered and must be paid at time of application. Applications and fees should be sent to Mick Holt, the Registration Co-ordinator who will confirm attendance and send out rules and player registration forms.
PLEASE NOTE - A requirement for this year is that player proof of age is required for entry into the tournament.

Tournament Format

The format will be squads of up to 8 players for six-a-side, with rolling substitutions. U7’s, U15’s & U16 games will be 5-a-side due to pitch limitations. Games will be played in leagues before proceeding to knock-out to determine the age group winners. There will be trophies for winners and runners up.
PLEASE NOTE - u7’s & u8’s & tournaments will follow the John Bryan League (& FA) age rules, i.e. points won’t be collected for these games. For these age groups squad sizes won’t be limited (All teams in these age groups will receive a maximum of 10 medals per team).
