Managers Update - 27th November 2007
Our time at the top of the table was short lived following a single goal defeat at the hands of Christ The King. However, we remain in contention having slipped to second place, 1 point behind the new leaders, and we have a game in hand.

The absence of some regular First Team players and the poor weather conditions certainly did not help us but we worked hard for the full 90 minutes and could have come away with a point, or three, if luck had gone our way. Impressive debuts for new signings Adam and Donald and a return to the team for Richard Nelmes gave us more options than we have had at some recent matches. With players returning we should have a full squad for next week’s fixture away to Dunlop.

Coventry Alliance Division 3 - Christ The King 1: Brinklow 0
24th November 2007

Report from Gordon Betts:-
Another wet and windy day in Coventry as we travelled to Bablake playing fields to take on Christ The King hoping to extend our lead at the top of Division 3. With some regular players unavailable Martin made some tactical changes to the line up and brought two new signings to the match. Neither side enjoyed the weather conditions and it looked as though the game would play out as a no score draw.

Opportunities presented themselves to both sides but a combination of good goalkeeping and slippery conditions ensured no goals until Christ The King won a penalty in the last 5 minutes. They converted this and then held on against Brinklow’s final barrages against their goal in order to claim the points and league leadership. Despite losing this was a strong performance with considerable effort from all involved. Man of the Match went to Andy Mayne who played a key role in the new look defensive line up.
